This chart shows the differences between MSN 8 and two forthcoming versions, MSN Premium and MSN Plus. (Features that are essentially the same in all three versions are not listed.)

MSN Premium contains all the features available in MSN 8 and will be the default client for MSN dial-up and MSN broadband partners, such as Qwest and Verizon. For customers who use another ISP—so-called bring-your-own-access (BYOA) customers—MSN Premium will cost the same as MSN 8. It will also be available to MSN dial-up customers at no extra charge.

MSN Plus removes certain features available in both MSN 8 and MSN Premium, such as parental controls and versions of Encarta, Money, and PictureIt. It will be available on a BYOA basis for a lower price than MSN Premium, or to MSN dial-up customers at no extra charge.
