Charts & IllustrationsOffice Product Name Changes
The lineup of Office-branded products will change with the release of the Office 2010 suite. Many products in addition to the suite included the prefix Office in their names, as in Microsoft Office Visio 2007. All of these products will drop the prefix in their 2010 versions. Microsoft will continue to call the Office suite itself Microsoft Office with an edition name (e.g., Microsoft Office Professional Plus).
Several products in the 2007 lineup have been discontinued but are partly or completely subsumed by 2010 products. For example, SharePoint Server 2010 includes functions of Office Business Scorecard Manager, Office Forms Server, and some parts of Office PerformancePoint Server, while Project Server 2010 provides functions of Office Project Portfolio Server.
