Office Professional Plus offers all the applications and features of Office Standard and delivers additional capabilities. The applications in the two suites are listed here.

Both suites include applications for the most commonly used Office functions:

Outlook for working with e-mail, personal contacts, tasks calendar, and voice mail (in Office Standard and Professional Plus, Outlook also includes Business Contact Manager, an add-on for contact management and sales lead tracking)

Word for creating and editing print and Web documents

Excel for creating and editing spreadsheets, managing simple databases, and analyzing and charting data from enterprise databases and other data sources

PowerPoint for creating, editing, and sharing slide presentations

OneNote for organizing and searching text or digital ink notes, graphics, audio, and video in virtual notebooks

Publisher for creating and modifying print publications such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, and postcards.

Both suites include a license to Office Web Apps, which enable a browser user to view and perform limited editing of some types of Office documents stored in SharePoint without having Office installed on the user’s PC.
