The Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook add-in offers personalization and other improvements to help users access relevant data more quickly and lower barriers to use. The Dynamics CRM Outlook add-in provides quick access to the Dynamics CRM Web interface, and it enables users to track e-mail in the Dynamics CRM system and work with Dynamics CRM records such as sales leads and contacts while offline. The Dynamics CRM 2011 add-in user interface displaying sales leads in Outlook 2010 is shown here. (Some elements are deliberately obscured.)

At the top is the context-sensitive Ribbon, which helps quickly locate commands relevant to the current selection. (A Ribbon is also used in the Web interface, but the Outlook add-in ribbon shown here works only in Outlook 2010, not earlier versions.)

Two views below the Ribbon (My Open Leads and All Leads) show sets of sales lead records. In Dynamics CRM 2011, users can “pin” views like these so that a personal set of views displays automatically when the user opens Outlook. This is one of several new personalization features that help users get to relevant data more quickly.
