Charts & IllustrationsUsing Per-User Subscriptions to License Virtual Desktops
Two Per-User subscriptions license users’ access to virtual desktops implemented using a Windows client OS running in virtual machines on servers. The two Per-User options are a Windows Enterprise Upgrade subscription license (which includes Software Assurance [SA]) and a Virtual Desktop Access (VDA) license. Because both alternatives are subscriptions, access to the virtual desktop is allowed during the subscription term only.
Prices quoted are Select Plus Level A, representing the highest price a U.S.-based customer would pay (neither Per-User licensing option is available through Open No Level). Prices are as of Aug. 2015.
