The following chart describes the announced Windows Live services and products, shows the status of each (e.g., private beta, under development) as of May 2006, and lists similar services or products from Microsoft (including MSN services that will be updated with a Windows Live equivalent) and competitors. Note that most free Windows Live services will be supported by advertising, with some exceptions, such as Family Safety Settings.
