Charts & IllustrationsWindows Update for Business Management Tools
A variety of tools can manage Windows Update for Business (WUfB) settings. Some tools may work best for a specific task. For example, Group Policy (GP) does an excellent job of configuring WUfB but does not provide monitoring or reporting. Configuration Manager (CM) and Intune may not be as good at configuring update settings but have the best reporting capabilities and longest support life cycles and therefore may still be a good choice. Because WUfB is a feature of Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise edition, there is no deployment of a client service.
Some tools, such as Intune or CM, require additional licensing.
