Charts & IllustrationsCore Infrastructure Server License Pricing
The cost of licensing Windows Server deployments managed by System Center will go up. The left chart shows pricing changes for purchases of licenses with Software Assurance (SA) and the right for SA renewals. Depending on the customer scenario, per-unit pricing may go up by as much as 41%.
Both charts contain four rows, each representing a different way to license a server for Windows Server and System Center.
- The first (top) row represents purchasing Windows Server (WS) and System Center (SC) separately
- The second row represents purchase of the Core Infrastructure Suite (CIS), a bundle providing rights to use both Windows Server and System Center, through Open or Select/Select Plus programs, or as an Additional Product under an existing Enterprise Agreement enrollment
- The third row represents CIS purchases made through programs offering special CIS discounts: the Enrollment for Core Infrastructure (ECI) on the left, which is being phased out, and the Server and Cloud Enrollment
