Security and identity management products such as antivirus and antispyware software; the Internet Security and Acceleration Server firewall and caching software; Identity Integration Server; and interoperability products such as Services for Unix.

Microsoft continues to expand and firm up its line of security products, particularly products for malicious software protection. All of the company’s security products, including Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) server will eventually fall under the company’s new Forefront brand name.

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s interoperability efforts have increasingly focused on Unix in general and Linux in particular, in response to server market shifts.
