Office, Visio, and Project 2007 leave Extended support Oct. 10, 2017, and the Office 2013 version of Office 365 ProPlus will stop receiving security or other updates by Feb. 2017. Organizations should already be migrating off these versions to prevent attacks that exploit unpatched security vulnerabilities. The accompanying diagram shows key support dates for Office Standard and Professional Plus (top) and the Office 365 ProPlus subscription suite on the Deferred Channel servicing branch (bottom), dates which are also shared by Visio and Project desktop application versions.

Office Standard and Professional Plus are the suites most commonly purchased with per-device, perpetual licenses in volume license agreements. Versions of these suites receive five years of Mainstream support and five years of Extended support. Visio Standard, Visio Professional, Project Standard, and Project Professional versions ship with the corresponding Office Standard and Professional Plus suite versions and have the same support dates, so Visio Standard 2007 (for example) leaves Extended support Oct. 10, 2017.
