The division responsible for Office and related business applications has acquired a new head of marketing, while Microsoft’s healthcare software and service group has advanced from an incubation project to a formal business unit. Also, a former Yahoo executive will take on development of Microsoft’s online ad platform, while in ad sales a recent high-profile hire has left the company.

Business Applications: New Marketing Head, Healthcare Added
Kirk Koenigsbauer has been promoted to corporate vice president, Office Division Product Management Group, and will head all marketing and product management for the division’s products, including Office, Exchange, SharePoint, Project, and Lync. Koenigsbauer was formerly head of marketing and product management for the division’s server products. A 15-year veteran of Microsoft, Koenigsbauer has worked in a variety of areas outside the Office Division, including MSN and the Microsoft.com corporate Web site. He replaces Chris Capossela and will report to Kurt DelBene, president of the division.
