Dynamics SL 2011 became available in Apr. 2011. Dynamics SL is Microsoft’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) product for project-based work, such as construction, and is commonly sold to organizations of up to 500 employees in the Americas. Dynamics SL 2011 incorporates user interface improvements also found in other Dynamics products and improves project management and accounting, particularly for government contractors. However, users will have to accustom themselves to the changes, and some companies will have to upgrade platform software to deploy the new version.

More Accessible User Interface

Dynamics SL 2011 has an updated user interface to help users navigate its many screens and extract useful information more quickly:

  • A search function allows quick location of specific screens by keyword
  • A Quick Query design tool and more than 50 predefined queries help users extract commonly required information without navigating to a screen
  • Users can attach files (such as invoices)
