The generative AI behind Copilot for Microsoft 365 processes massive amounts of an organization’s stored data accessible through the Microsoft Graph. Microsoft has closed a gap in its data residency coverage by including prompts used for and content generated by Copilot for Microsoft 365 in existing residency guarantees. This means Microsoft guarantees that for customers whose tenants are provisioned in specific geographies, interaction data associated with Copilot for Microsoft 365 will be stored according to specified data storage location for Microsoft 365 data.
