Some customers migrating to Office 365 with 150 or more users can get free deployment support from Microsoft and either e-mail migration services from Microsoft or funding of up to US$60,000 for deployment services from Microsoft or partners. Office 365 is a set of subscription plans that combine Microsoft-hosted services, such as Exchange Online e-mail, with on-premises software such as the Office desktop suite and Office applications for iPad. The latest support and funding offers (launched Sept. 1, 2014) could speed up the early phases of deployment. However, not all deployment tasks are covered, and funding is capped, limiting the benefits for large, complex deployments.
Onboarding Center for Deployment
The Office 365 Onboarding Center is a specialized Microsoft support organization for Office 365. It offers free remote assistance to customer administrators (and their Office 365 deployment partners, if they have them) for the most commonly required deployment tasks.
The center supports Microsoft’s FastTrack deployment method, which starts with a trial or pilot and proceeds to deployment of a production Office 365 tenant. The Onboarding Center provides regular conference calls and other guidance to each customer for the following phases of the deployment:
