Rebates Reduce Office 2003 Cost

A deployment rebate will reduce the cost of Office with Software Assurance for organizations making new purchases of Office 2003 through certain volume licensing plans. Offering discounts up to 30%, the rebate is aimed primarily at small businesses, many of which have not purchased upgrade rights on Office and now face steep upgrade costs for Office 2003. The promotional offer is currently available only in the United States but may be extended worldwide at a later time.

Rebate Eligibility and Limits

The rebate can be applied to volume editions of Office purchased through any three-year volume licensing plan. Thus, customers can get the rebate if they purchase Office Professional Enterprise, Office Small Business, or Office Standard in an Open Value, Select, or Enterprise volume licensing agreement.

Customers must purchase both the product license and Software Assurance (SA), which provides upgrade rights, home use rights, and other benefits.

The rebate is not applicable to OEM software or purchases made in an existing Enterprise Agreement (EA)—customers must be starting a new EA to be eligible for this rebate.
