Teams Roadmap Update

Recent updates and planned new features for Teams aim to expand the reach of the service as Microsoft prepares to retire Skype for Business Online on July 31, 2021. The rapid pace of change across all aspects of Teams, including collaboration, meetings, telephony, and administration, is unlikely to slow and requires careful monitoring if organizations want to effectively manage the capabilities of the service, enforce security policies, and prevent ad-hoc adoption of new features as they are added and enabled.

The service is a priority for Microsoft and is positioned as a collaboration hub for organizations and promoted to partners as a business opportunity for value-added services.
