The chart below lists the file attachment types Microsoft deems “unsafe” in the most recent Outlook security patch. Should a file of any type listed below be embedded in an incoming message, it won’t be accessible to Outlook users with the patch installed. (Ed. Note: Administrators have an ability to modify the list of unsafe file types.)
