The fifth version of Windows 10—version 1803—contains few completely new features of interest to large organizations, although many existing features receive minor improvements. To maximize the 18 months of support offered to Windows 10 versions, organizations need to evaluate and plan the deployment of this version in a timely manner.
General 1803 Changes
As with most new versions of Windows 10, there are many subtle changes to existing features and some altogether new features. In many cases, a feature that was previously available is supported by more OEMs or applications. To take advantage of these minor improvements and new features, it is necessary to deploy Windows 1803.
Improvements and new features fall into the categories of deployment, configuration and management, and security and privacy. In addition, Microsoft announced that some features will not likely be improved or supported in the future.
