Charts & IllustrationsAzure's Serverless Services
Azure offers several services that enable serverless deployments. Serverless application architectures can reduce applications costs while improving scalability and simplifying development.
Azure Service | Capabilities |
Functions | Runs code when certain trigger events occur without requiring a VM to be active at all times waiting for events and incurring charges. Several programming languages are supported. |
Logic Apps | Hosts workflows used to integrate discrete applications while incurring costs only when workflows are in progress. Connector library jump-starts integration with Azure and external services and on-premises Microsoft and third-party applications. |
Event Grid | Routes events from Azure services and external applications to other Azure services and external applications. Uses a publish-subscribe model. Enables serverless deployments by delivering events that trigger actions elsewhere, such as Functions and Logic Apps. |
Container Instances | Enables |
