  • The Operations Management Suite has been discontinued.
  • The suite’s capabilities are still available, but only as individually purchased Azure services.
  • Complex Azure service meters make estimating complete costs difficult.

The Operations Management Suite (OMS), which bundled multiple Azure services together as a two-tiered suite, was retired in the first half of 2018. Microsoft is removing management tooling that was unique to the service in favor of general access to those same services via the Azure portal.

OMS Overview

OMS bundled several Azure-hosted services to manage systems in Azure, a third-party cloud, or on-premises. Those services remain available in stand-alone forms as they did before the OMS suite existed. Most of these services parallel aspects of on-premises System Center server products, and the on-premises suite can often interoperate with the hosted services.

OMS consisted of four sets of one or more Azure services:
