Charts & IllustrationsExchange Server 2010 Support Extended
Exchange Server 2010 will leave Extended support Oct. 13, 2020 instead of Jan. 14, 2020 as originally planned. The accompanying chart shows support status and end dates for Exchange Server and some related product versions. The change gives customers 10 more months of security updates and other support while migrating off Exchange Server 2010. It also extends support for connectivity to Exchange Online, the Microsoft-hosted service to which many customers will migrate. For customers keeping Exchange on-premises, Exchange Server 2016 is the most likely migration target because it supports direct migration from the 2010 version and includes features (particularly Unified Messaging voice functions) that are missing from Exchange Server 2019. However, Exchange Server 2019 is the only option for customers who want to deploy Exchange Server on Windows Server 2019, the latest server OS.
