BizTalk Server is application integration software for deployment in Azure, customer, and third-party datacenters. It is Microsoft’s most mature application integration and business-to-business commerce product. However, Azure Logic Apps is now Microsoft’s primary integration technology, and all BizTalk Server sales and support will end in 2030.

Product: BizTalk Server

Near Term (2026–2027)

BizTalk Server 2020 is the last version of the product (see fig. 1).

Until 2030, cumulative updates (CUs) will keep BizTalk Server compatible with current versions of Windows Server, SQL Server, and Visual Studio. Host Integration Server, the mainframe integration software currently bundled with BiizTalk server, will become a separate product and receive a new “2028” version.

Microsoft encourages BizTalk Server customers to migrate to Azure Logic Apps, and has delivered tools to migrate individual components (such as data mappings). Migration will not be automatic or easy.
