RoadmapLogic Apps
Azure Logic Apps hosts workflows and offers workflow development, deployment, and management for application integration. For example, a Logic Apps workflow might integrate a bulk e-mail service and a customer relationship management (CRM) service to capture sales leads from e-mail responses. Logic Apps can provide a hub for integration of multiple applications and cloud services within an organization or between the organization and its partners, consolidating integration on a single platform and Microsoft-managed infrastructure.
Logic Apps and Power Automate both support workflows and have somewhat overlapping functionality; Logic Apps is Azure-centric, however, while Power Automate is used with Office 365. (See the sidebar “Comparing Integration Options“.)
Service Overview
A Logic Apps workflow responds to events in applications (such as arrival of an e-mail) or on a schedule and takes actions (such as creating a sales lead in a CRM service). It interacts with applications through components called connectors. Logic Apps supports hundreds of connectors to both Microsoft and third-party systems, and new connectors are continually being added. Customers can create custom connectors.
