Purview Data Governance Roadmap

Purview Data Governance, a member of the Microsoft Purview family of compliance and data governance services, provides a set of features that help data professionals track, manage, control, and report on their enterprise data estate, that is, corporate data sources maintained in Azure, in Microsoft 365, on-premises, and in third-party clouds.

Purview Data Governance is under active development and new features are expected frequently.

New features now generally available include: 

Copilot for Microsoft Purview supports querying, summarizing, and triaging data from some, but not all, Purview data sources, currently including Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, and eDiscovery. (Copilot within Purview is sometimes referred to by Microsoft using the muddled brand Microsoft Copilot for Security in Microsoft Purview.)

Master data management (MDM) integrations are available for popular solutions, including CluedIn, Profisee, and Semarchy.
