Microsoft Purview eDiscovery updates in preview and recently released include a new portal experience for eDiscovery, in preview since Sept. 2024 and expected to roll out in Feb. 2025. The new UI simplifies access to eDiscovery’s capabilities by grouping previously separate services together in the Purview portal (purview.microsoft.com). 

Previously, content search and eDiscovery in both the Standard or Premium editions were separate functions in the UI; now, Content Search has been integrated into the eDiscovery tier to which the tenancy subscribes. Organizations with Standard eDiscovery (Microsoft 365 E3 and equivalent) will see a limited set of features while those with Premium eDiscovery will be able to access a broader set.
