Teams Premium is an add-on User Subscription License (User SL) that provides additional capabilities on top of the core Teams Enterprise license included in most Microsoft 365 suites. For users without Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams Premium provides a less expensive way to obtain Intelligent recap meeting summaries and live translation. It also includes features to improve meeting security, enables advanced virtual appointments, and allows use of the Queues app for Teams Phone users. Effective Apr. 1, 2026, most Teams Premium capabilities for hosting advanced webinars and town halls, as well as user-facing features in the Places workspace management service, are now part of Teams Enterprise and no longer require a Teams Premium User SL.
