Major developments for Microsoft’s business applications roadmap since the Sept. 2013 Enterprise Software Roadmap include the following:

  • Dynamics CRM 2013 became available to both on-premises and Dynamics CRM Online customers in Oct. 2013.
  • A Dynamics CRM Online update in Oct. 2013 will deliver company and contact information from InsideView, a partner that compiles information from social networks and other sources.
  • Mainstream support for Dynamics AX 2009 will end Apr. 14, 2015, which is later than originally planned.
  • Warehouse and transportation software for Dynamics AX were acquired from Blue Horseshoe, a partner.
  • Dynamics AX CU6 released in June 2013 and includes business process functionality and data integration with Dynamics CRM.
  • Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014 and will include many of the features originally planned for a feature pack in 2013.
  • Dynamics AX 2015 (Rainier) is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2014 with management
