The Application Center console brings together cluster status and performance information from both the Application Center logging and HealthMonitor monitoring systems. The key tool is the Application Center snap-in (the node labeled “Application Center” in the leftmost pane), which shows overall cluster structure and gives access to cluster management commands and monitoring displays. The tool is currently displaying status and performance information for a cluster of two servers. The status summary (two rows of four icons at top center) indicates that the servers are up, that they are not participating in load balancing, that HealthMonitor has detected a problem on the server L-TESTSVR3, and that neither server is currently participating in synchronization. Clicking on the “Monitors” icon for L-TESTSVR3 (in the leftmost pane) would display which monitor detected the problem. The performance display (rightmost pane) shows the evolution of three performance metrics for the cluster as a whole over the last 15 minutes.
