The Microsoft Security Services Partner Program provides customers with a Web-based directory of consulting companies with focused security consulting practices. The program separates security consultants into three categories:

  • Partners must have 500 or more employees, 50 of whom are either MCSE- or MCSD-certified; and must have a significant security consulting practice of which 40% or more is dedicated to Microsoft technologies.
  • Specialists must have at least two employees who are either MCSE- or MCSD-certified, and 80% of their consulting services must be security-focused.
  • Members must have at least two employees who are either MCSE- or MCSD-certified, and 50% of their consulting services must be security-focused.

Microsoft will provide participants in the program with training on Microsoft security technologies and notification of security issues, providing a forum for the exchange of security information between Microsoft, its partners, and customers.
