Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio for Mac 2019 became generally available in Apr. 2019.
The new version gets numerous user interface and developer productivity enhancements, but no major design updates.
Visual Studio Online, a new Web-based lightweight code development tool, is in private preview.

Visual Studio (VS) 2019 includes Live Share and IntelliCode, which have been available as add-ons for VS 2017, dozens of minor enhancements to its tools, and user interface (UI) tweaks that distinguish its appearance. The new version does not offer major new capabilities, but the upgrade should be straightforward for most teams.
