Microsoft Stream is a Microsoft-hosted service for viewing, sharing, discussing, and discovering an organization’s video content, and it provides organizations with more control over content access than consumer services such as YouTube. Stream is slated to replace Office 365 Video in Mar. 2021, and migration of video content from Office 365 Video to Stream is already under way. Planned enhancements to the service include capabilities of Office 365 Video that Stream currently lacks and will add features that could make Stream more attractive as a platform to host and share organizational video content when compared to consumer video services.
