Azure Automanage simplifies the setup of management tasks for Windows Server VMs. Leveraging best practices documented in Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (a guide to planning, migration, management, and governance of applications in Azure), it configures and automatically deploys a number of commonly used management services, thus reducing IT effort and improving consistency.

Tasks Automanage Performs

For Windows Server VMs, Automanage configures the following management services and tasks:

  • VM Insights Monitoring (a solution of Azure Monitor for VMs), providing monitoring of application health and performance
  • Azure Backup, backing up and restoring VMs, application data, and
