Windows 10 Team 2020 and 85" Surface Hub Available

A new 85” Surface Hub that runs a new version of Windows 10 Team edition (2020) is becoming generally available across different regions. The 85″ (diagonal measurement) screen Surface Hub shown in the accompanying photo has been updated by Microsoft to make it easier to install and set up, and features additional certified accessories, such as cameras and microphones to accommodate most conference rooms and work areas. A mobile stand is also available. Although the device comes with the new version of Window 10 Team edition preinstalled, organizations that want to run Win32 apps on the device have the option to install Windows 10 Enterprise or Pro (which are also supported on existing Surface Hub 2S devices).

Windows 10 Team 2020, which is based on Windows 10 version 20H2, is beginning throttled release for existing Surface Hub devices via Windows Update for Business (recommended), Windows Update, and as a bare metal recovery (BMR) image. Organizations using this version of Windows on Surface Hub may receive the best experience because it was tailored for Surface Hubs, so there should be no problems created by device drivers which are not part of traditional editions of the OS. However, this is a feature update, meaning it contains feature changes incorporated in Windows 10 version 20H2. All regions should have the updates available by late Feb. 2021.
