Azure Arc Helps Microsoft Deliver Multicloud Security

• A range of Microsoft hosted security services can be used with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, and some can be used on-premises.
• The services can speed security responses by providing a single incident management system in Azure that covers all cloud services on which an organization relies.
• While most services have similar costs to internal Azure use, some are extremely expensive when used outside Azure.
• The selection of defense services will likely continue to focus on VMs, containers, and SQL Server.

Several Azure security services can be used across multicloud and on-premises deployments to help organizations include their incident data in the Microsoft Defender for Cloud portal and manage the services using the same processes within and outside Azure. However, some have surprisingly high prices or additional costs when used outside Azure, and many of these services could give Microsoft insight into an organization’s cloud presence, including license noncompliance.
