Dataverse capabilities are being added regularly; most of these changes serve to integrate the service more deeply with enterprise-level services such as Azure data stores and improve data handling within the Dataverse service. The upcoming features will include the following:

Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse is a service that provides near-real-time insights such as analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning on Dataverse data. Upcoming improvements will allow users to receive notifications regarding the state of operations of the service, the ability to access Dataverse choice labels (such as Yes/No instead of integer values) directly from the service, and expansion to the China-based cloud.

Dataflows, which use Power Query to let users access low-code self-service data integration services, will be greatly expanded with the ability to load data to targets like Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL Database.

Microsoft Search integration, which will include Dataverse search results within the larger Microsoft Search index.
