Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability

Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability is a collection of software, cloud services, and documentation to help organizations consolidate and analyze data about its emissions. (See the sidebar “Greenhouse Gas Protocol.”) It can help organizations comply with organizational goals for environment sustainability and regulatory mandates.

This report is one of a series focusing on Microsoft’s industry clouds; for an introduction to industry clouds, see “Industry Clouds 2022 Update: Introduction” on page 3 of the Sept. 2022 Update.  Microsoft industry clouds provide cloud applications, services, and data models customized for specific vertical industries. As with the other industry clouds, Cloud for Sustainability leverages existing Microsoft cloud services, including Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and Azure services, which are licensed and priced separately. However, they are not finished services and will likely require developer or partner assistance in order to create production applications and solutions; for example, to integrate with existing enterprise systems and/or databases.
