  • Microsoft has three new paid security services that could help identify potential attackers and threats, secure endpoints, and detect and respond to attacks on SAP infrastructure.
  • These services continue Microsoft’s expansion into multicloud security.
  • They overlap with other Microsoft services and are likely to change.

Three new paid security services from Microsoft have reached general availability. Two are derived from technologies the company obtained with the acquisition of RiskIQ in 2021. The third builds on Microsoft’s security information and event management (SIEM) offering, Microsoft Sentinel, to help customers get security oversight over their SAP deployments in Azure and elsewhere.

Microsoft Continues Multicloud Security Expansion

The three services discussed in this report continue a trend of Microsoft adding new security services that are based in Azure, but can help with securing resources in Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and often on-premises. These new services also overlap to some degree with other Microsoft security services, including those under the Microsoft Defender for Cloud brand.
