  • Azure OpenAI service provides access to prebuilt AI models for language, coding, and text processing.
  • The service can help speed the creation of AI applications that need Azure’s global reach, scaling, or security.
  • Automatic content filtering can help customers mitigate risk associated with misuse but could result in incomplete data.

Azure OpenAI service (in private preview) is part of Azure Cognitive Services, a collection of prebuilt components that can be used to add artificial intelligence (AI) processes to applications. OpenAI models are pretrained for language processing, which allows developers of general business applications to include language processing capabilities with minimal effort. The models can be customized for specific needs and are less expensive to deploy and scale than comparable machine learning environments built separately.

Overview

Azure OpenAI service components include models for language processing, code analysis and creation, and text analysis. Models are pretrained, which can enable organizations to put them into production much more quickly. However, they can be customized and fine-tuned to specific requirements through the Azure OpenAI Studio developer tool set.
