Kits & CollectionsMicrosoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a Microsoft 365 service that offers group-based collaboration spaces with persistent chat, voice and video meetings, integrated access to several other Microsoft 365 services, and connections to many third-party services. Teams is the primary Microsoft 365 service for unified communication, telephony, and teams-based collaboration, and it replaces Skype for Business Online, which Microsoft retired on July 31, 2021.
Previously included in all Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suites, Teams has been unbundled from Microsoft 365 and Office 365 Enterprise suites for new customers globally as of Apr. 1, 2024; existing customers can continue to acquire those suites with Teams (for details see Licensing Reports and Rules, below).
