  • Power Platform services are available for US Government cloud customers.
  • Governmental versions still lack some features of commercial versions.
  • Customers are responsible for data compliance when using the services.

Power Platform services, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power Virtual Agents, are generally available in US Government clouds. These services physically separate customer content and enable customers to comply with a variety of certifications required of U.S. government agencies. When assessing Power Platform services, U.S. agencies should consider availability, interoperability, missing features and other technical differences, and data compliance.

(Power BI, which is often included in the Power Platform marketing umbrella, is not covered in this report.)

Power Platform Government Overview

Power Platform Government offerings are available only for governmental entities within the United States; this includes federal, state, local, tribal, or other Microsoft-approved government entities, and partners that hold or manage data on their behalf.
