  • The functionality of the Azure EA portal, which enterprise customers were previously required to use, has been gradually moved to the regular Azure portal.
  • Most customers can use the Azure portal instead of the EA portal, and some can no longer use the EA portal.
  • The changeover deadlines are not fully published; several have passed, and one has changed.
  • The shift will typically entail process changes and training, but it eliminates the need for the separate EA portal.

The EA portal (sometimes called the Azure Enterprise portal or Enterprise Azure portal) provides UIs to manage Azure enrollments, subscriptions, and billing. It is based on technologies that predate the Azure Resource Manager deployment framework, and Microsoft has long suggested that its functionality would be merged with the regular Azure portal, where most Azure administration is performed. That merger has been gradually taking place.

EA Portal Manages Enrollments, Billing Hierarchy

The EA portal was designed for customers with direct or indirect Enterprise Agreements (EAs), Azure partner resellers, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
