This chart shows current and previous names and release dates of products that are part of the Forefront line of protection, access, and identity management products. Except for Forefront Online Protection for Exchange, all are on-premises products. The Forefront Protection Suite is a licensing package that includes several Forefront protection products, which continue to be available individually.
Note that “Forefront Protection for Lync Server” is hypothetical; Microsoft has not announced a product to protect Lync Server 2010 or Lync Online, and Forefront Security for Office Communications Server cannot be used to protect Lync Server 2010 or Lync Online.
