Charts & IllustrationsSample Open Prices
This chart compares pricing for Office Professional Plus 2007 under various Open volume licensing plans available to small and midsize businesses. All prices are for perpetual licenses except the license purchased through Open Value Subscription, which is an annual subscription price. In addition to selecting a plan based on its price, customers must also consider payment schedules (one-time fees vs. payments over time), Software Assurance (SA) subscriptions for upgrade and maintenance rights (optional or mandatory), and whether licenses are perpetual or available only as long as an annual subscription fee is paid. The Desktop Professional Platform is a bundle that includes a Windows OS upgrade, Office, and a bundle of Client Access Licenses.
Note that SA in Open License is for only two years, while in Open Value it can run for three years.
Program | U.S. Estimated Price (Annual Payment) | U.S. Estimated Price (One-Time Payment) |
Open License, without SA | No annual payment |
