Charts & IllustrationsCore Infrastructure Server Suites
The Enrollment for Core Infrastructure is a way to license Windows Server, Systems Center Management Suite, and Forefront Client Security for servers. Each ECI suite is sold per processor for use on one server. Desktop users (or their computers) that access the servers must also be assigned a current Windows Server Client Access License. The Enterprise and Datacenter Editions of the Systems Center Management Suite include enterprise management licenses for System Center Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Data Protection Manager, and Virtual Machine Manager. The Standard Edition of the suite does not include a management license for Virtual Machine Manager and permits management of only basic server workloads.
