Charts & IllustrationsWindows 10 Manageability Features Comparison
Windows 10 includes a range of manageability features that varies depending on the OS edition. This chart shows a comparison of manageability features in Windows 10, the editions where they are available, and other software or services that may be required to take advantage of each feature. Some of these features are new to Windows 10, and some have existed in Windows for several releases. Most features listed here require Active Directory (AD) or the Microsoft-hosted Azure AD (AAD) identity management service, and some use Group Policy (GP), which is only available to AD-joined devices. Newer capabilities require an Open Mobile Association Device Management (OMA-DM) agent on the managed device, a technology that was introduced in Windows 8.1 and improved in Windows 10 to support Configuration Service Providers (CSPs).
