Charts & IllustrationsImportant Dates for Office
Office 2007 leaves Mainstream support in Oct. 2012, six months later than originally planned. Important upcoming support dates for recent versions of Office are shown here. SP1 is now required for product support of Office 2010.
Paid support will still be available for Office 2003 SP3 through Apr. 2014, and the version still works with current server products such as SharePoint Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2010. However, it is not compatible with the Office 365 services (launched in June 2011), though Microsoft announced that it will support Office 2003 e-mail through POP3/IMAP to Exchange Online in Office 365. Office 2003 will probably not be compatible with future versions of server products. Consequently, organizations should already be planning its replacement.
