Web-Based E-Mail Services Compared

My Atlas / Charts & Illustrations

243 wordsTime to read: 2 min

This chart compares the features of Google’s Gmail, currently in beta-testing, with the free and paid e-mail services available from MSN (Hotmail) and Yahoo. The features listed are current as of July 2004, but may evolve quickly as the three companies attempt to stay competitive. In particular, Yahoo might increase the amount of storage available on its free service to match or surpass Hotmail’s free service, and Gmail might add a calendar or a full-featured address book (instead of the current contacts list, which only displays e-mail addresses).
