Charts & IllustrationsSubscriptions Bundled into the Enterprise Cloud Suite (ECS)
The Enterprise Cloud Suite (ECS) combines User Subscription Licenses (SL) for multiple online services and the Windows Enterprise Upgrade at a discount. ECS components are also available separately, but buying them in ECS can reduce costs if organizations use most of them. All prices quoted in the illustration represent the highest monthly Per-User price a U.S.-based customer would likely pay effective Sep. 2015. Prices are provided for standalone components as well as those purchased in sets.
The Windows Enterprise Upgrade User SL, included in ECS and pictured at the left, provides an individual the right to run Windows Enterprise or Pro locally on PCs, remotely access Windows Enterprise or Pro in a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and use Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) components such as App-V.
ECS also includes an Office 365 Enterprise E3 subscription, pictured in the center, which provides personal productivity and collaboration software and services. It includes rights to the Office 365 ProPlus software. Office 365 ProPlus is almost identical to Office Professional Plus, but it is offered on a Per-User rather than Per-Device basis, allowing an individual to run Office software on multiple devices (including mobile devices) and remotely access Office on servers and in a VDI. Office 365 Enterprise E3 also provides Microsoft-hosted Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business (formerly Lync Server), and related services such as Yammer.
