Azure Server Management Platform Support
Several Azure services are available for performing server management tasks in Azure. The chart here lists the support offered by each Azure-hosted service when used with servers running Windows Server or Linux OSs in Azure or on-premises.
Some of these services can also be used in Amazon Web Services Elastic Cloud Compute (AWS EC2) VMs or with VMware on-premises, but usually for limited scenarios. Most services other than Azure Backup are not supported for use on Windows client OSs.
Azure Monitor support for Azure VMs is currently in preview and not supported for production use.
