PerformancePoint Server 2007 has been discontinued but will be fully supported until Jan. 2013. This chart outlines life cycle support and initial release dates for Business Scorecard Manager 2005 (a predecessor of PerformancePoint Server) and PerformancePoint Server 2007.

PerformancePoint Server provided business performance analysis (scorecarding), financial planning, budgeting, and other functions. The product’s scorecarding functions have been subsumed by SharePoint Server 2010, but other functions such as budgeting and financial planning have no equivalent from Microsoft. Customers who had active Software Assurance on PerformancePoint Server as of Apr. 1, 2009, can convert covered licenses to SharePoint licenses under a formula described in the company’s volume licensing product list.
